Aline van Enckevort (1994) is a Dutch illustrator and artist. Her work explores playful and melancholic themes. After graduating from the University of the Arts in Utrecht in 2017 Aline worked in fashion design for six years before dedicating herself fully to illustration in 2023.

The process is guided by mood and observation of nature, human connections and everyday life. It allows her to calm her mind and reflect. “I dive into a certain mood when I paint and aim to capture its essence. I often find inspiration in a state of sadness, melancholy or solace, they hold a certain beauty that I like to explore in my work.”

Exploring stories with characters like Gudrun, form and colour with the Kabocha, aiming to transform the ordinary into strong visuals.

Working between her studio in Eindhoven and time spent traveling in search of inspiration, sunlight, and new stories to tell.

Through original works, commissions and collaborative projects, she creates imagery that invites pause. Visuals where colour, texture and narrative come together.
